Boundaries, like fences -- keep out
or keep in
No trespassing this marker, or
transference within
No No No NO NO -- reads the sign on
the gate
Boundaries, like fences -- are not
meant to tempt fate
Inside is protected and safe for
one's own
Outside are outlaws who seek for
one's gold
Inside are one's treasures -- love,
wisdom and trust,
Esteem, joy, and memories -- be they
diamonds or rust
Outside are provokers and ill-gotten
gains,
Thieves, rustlers, and liars on
runaway trains
Boundaries, like fences need strong
reinforcement
When used to defend the prized brood
mares, and horses
Boundaries, like fences need
watchers and guardians
When rustlers and thieves come to
holes meant for watering
All the prized treasures and gifts
of the owners of
Boundaries
Boundaries, like fences need mending
when breached
And wear down more quickly as
assaults do repeat
Boundaries, like fences can stand
just so long
When left unattended, their gates
left unarmed
And gates left unarmed around
boundaries, like fences
Without posts and cross beams, are
useless defenses
When used to defend all the useless
endeavors
Of those who are used to befriending
the fair-weather
Friends of the careless, the
thoughtless, whatever's
Of those who make poor use of all
their great treasures
And boundaries
Heads up
