Sojourner's Tale

The traveler goes a sojourning
She journeys near and far
She gathers all her countrywym
To share their faring talk

They meet around the circle
In the midnight of the fire
And tell of how each learned
Her way to find her circlet tie

One learned so by her mother's lap
And one her father's knee
One stole away in dead of night
To set her own heart free

A lady dressed in robes of green
Did find her way inside
By kneeling down on bended knee
And silver found her knight

Another sat in silence there
Among the forest trees
Upon a rock she stayed her till
Her spirit came to speak

For such the ways to circlet come
More numerous than sands
That trim the mighty oceans
And spill out onto the lands

And should you go a sojourning
To seek your soul in rest
This traveler bids go in peace
May find your spirit blessed

~~~your fellow traveler
